Omega Speedmaster Automatic ‘Holy Grail’

The Maunder Watch Co are delighted to offer for sale an excellent example of an Omega Speedmaster, ref 376.0822, the ‘Holy Grail’.

The ‘Holy Grail’ Speedmaster was produced for only two years, from 1987 -1988, and it has been noted that approximately 2000 units left the factory.

It is considered to be the perfect combination of all aspects of the previous MK series of Speedmasters; an automatic chronograph with 24hr read out and Day/Date, all packed into a near to the original Speedmaster case. The bracelet and case proportions are thought to be the ideal combination of any Speedy.

This model has the original bezel insert with the wider font and serif 70. The Mk 1 Dial features the ‘wedge 2’ font, concentric circle sub -dials and thick white type with no overlap. The hands are all original, long with thin lume and a spear tip chronograph hand. All in all an exceptional examole of a very rare timepiece.

This watch comes with a superb set of original box, paperwork and period catalogues.
